Well, that sucked! That might be your first thought when you open your eyes to find yourself in a lavishly decorated room with a nice, soft bed. Or maybe you’re thinking about something else, it doesn’t really matter, since the only important thing right now is that you’re alive. Sort of. You’re still dead, but you also still exist, so that’s better than nothing. Whenever you decide to leave the room to venture out into the rest of the building, you’ll find that… hm. You sure have found yourself somewhere interesting, and there are plenty of places to explore. Foods from all of the weeks prior can be found in the hotel’s kitchen, as well as an entertainment center in the next room; just because you’re dead-dead doesn’t mean you can’t still have fun while the Reaper’s Game continues. Dare you try your luck with the ice cream machine in this weird place…? Or do you explore the mysterious board game that rests on the lobby’s table? Nothing’s stopping you. You’re absolutely able to leave the hotel, by the way. As soon as you step outside, you’ll find yourself in whatever area is currently open to the remaining Players for the current week. The only thing is, in addition to being invisible to the shadowy denizens of the RG... it seems you can’t interact at all with your fellow active Players in the UG, either. Weird! But that’s okay, you’re not totally alone in this limbo-squared! There are others around who you can interact with, and you might recognize them as the other people who have been Erased during the course of the game. In fact, there’s one rather special resident of this place... it’s none other than Dahlia Hawthorne. You might remember her as Utena Tenjou’s murderer from the first week! Upon seeing you, she smirks, welcoming you to the party. “Did you really think you'd seen the last of me? Welcome to the Under-Underground—the loser’s playground, a failure like the rest of us,” she taunts, swirling the teacup in her hand with an almost gleeful look in her eyes. Then, as if to preempt whatever the new arrivals wish to respond with, she rolls her eyes and adds, “The stupid name wasn’t my choice, by the way. WEEK 2 MISSION

[this week, dahlia seems to have already (?!) moved on from tea to liquor, helping herself to the wine from the hotel lobby's bar. set up on a nearby table is a... jigsaw puzzle? look, there's not a lot to do in erasureville.]

Hey, I found this lying around. I can't be bothered to solve it—tell you what, entertain me, and I might give you a boon.

[It takes him a bit, but he manages. He's more of a hack-and-slash-em kinda guy. The force of patience does teach him the desired lesson.

Once he learns to work the edges first, then the rest, he gets the hang of it. Unfortunately, when he finishes and actually gets to focus on what's written, his brows tighten together.]

[come saturday morning, the inhabitants of the graveyard won't wake up in their cushy hotel. instead, they'll be at the same mcdonald's that the remaining players are conducting the weekly trial. if they try to interact with any of the other players, though... nothing happens. they can't see, hear, or feel the erased, no matter how hard they try. in fact, the players... seem to be more akin to the shadow people populating shibuya: to the erased, the players are certainly recognizable, but they appear slightly desaturated compared to their fellow executed and victims.

dahlia appears totally unfazed by the situation at hand, standing beside a shadowy max where the reaper creeper board is set up.]

Morning, Brawn-over-Brains. [that's terra, for the record.] Surprised to be here?

A little. [He's more surprised by the... "Noise" of the others around him. Not Noise... but... when he tries to touch them, his hands go through, leaving him to curl his fingers over nothing at all.

He frowns, moving over to where Dahlia stands beside the Not-Max.] What's going on?

Is this... the trial?

[after that... mess... dahlia looks a little annoyed. she makes a beeline for terra without hesitation.]

Why the hell did you give them that answer, idiot? Is this more of your "everyone deserves a second chance" stupidity?

Everyone needs hope. I don't know if it's true, but I also don't know if it isn't. I believe there has to be a way.

They spend too much time trying to "win," to be stronger than us. I made that mistake before. I don't want to make it again.

If they think there's a way, maybe they'll try something different.

he's slumped over in the lobby of the hotel probably on one of the couches because I Say So and.

would you look at that. he has a pretty nice pair of black wings flaring out from his back, through his poncho-cape and stuff. not super huge, they're actually kind of small.

[well that sure was a way to wake up. clarke is a bit disoriented being fully aware that a certain someone had killed her but after learning where she was now, that was the least of her concerns honestly.

she's worried about blake who is or will be erased because of her and she's worried about undine who was just with her moments before she was killed. she takes a deep breathe and tries to remain composed, either in the hotel or venturing outside of it, this is still very surreal to her. she is just sitting on her own, her words seem to be said to herself but still easily heard by whoever is around] I hope she didn't end up here too...

[ ranpo's nearby enough to overhear her, and the difference is that he definitely does have some black reaper wings on his back, geez. ]

WEEK 3 MISSION

[around the same time as the current players receive their mission, dahlia's rounded up the erased in the hotel lobby. today her poison of choice is a pink lady, which she's sipping out of a tall martini glass. somehow, the hotel has a speaker system, and this is currently being played. this was totally here before?]

Heads up, losers. ["inhabitants of the under-underground," in decent people words.] Just because you've been erased doesn't mean you're free from the Composer's whims.

Even though Noise don't usually hang out in the UUG, there's apparently been some spotted at Udagawa. Your mission is to investigate what's going on over there, and report back to me once you've finished up. [here, she picks an index card up off the bar and reads off it with a shakespearean level of exaggeration.] "Succeed, and the remaining Players will receive a boon, which may shed clues on the curious circumstances of this Reaper's Game. Fail, and..." well, you all have already been erased, so that part isn't really that threatening, is it.

EGG HUNT

[ So! As a fun little activity for the living, the Erased can choose where to hide eggs! They're each given a map of settings and they can mark where on the maps they want the eggs hidden. Feel free to be as particular as you want about the location of the eggs, IE: In the trash can in McDonalds, in between two pins in In Prick, etc. ]

[ The Erased can also choose the items that are in the eggs, as long as they're small, don't contain information, and aren't too dangerous. Gag items are fine!! You can submit up to 7 eggs, (try to spread it out, location wise) and please do so before noon EST on Saturday. ]

[The eggs are all gold with a thin red ribbon tied elegantly around each one for an of refinement. these are clearly the classiest eggs.

Egg 1) a paper which says:
"Adam
Had'em"
though if it's not okay since it has a name technically let me know! but it's one of the shortest poems in history, which. tbh it doesn't sound like a real poem to me but all right poets. hidden in a vending machine in place of one of the temp tattoos.

Egg 2) glow in the dark silly putty. preferably pink. hidden in a row of pink nail polish.

Egg 3) a drawing of a grumpy looking lion with a floofed up mane which is frankly the only way you can tell it's a lion. it's badly drawn. hidden in the ruby themed case, near the rings, in one of the more busy displays in the jewelry store.

Egg 4) glitter in festive Christmas shapes. hidden in a thing of fries (under the fries) at mcdonald's.

Egg 5) a small spool of fishing line. hidden near the fish bowls in the pet shop. dark humour???

Egg 6) packet of red food colouring. hidden in a gutter in the bowling alley.

Egg 7) extra strength headache pills. hidden next to some cute knock-off hello kitty party hats.]

MEME ANNOUNCEMENT (not that kind u nerds)

[ in the middle of shenaneggans, dahlia calls for attention from the double deads! while she speaks, she's drawing lacelike patterns on some eggs, mercilessly crushing some others. the inner machinations of her mind are an enigma. ]

So, some of you have approached me about communicating with the remaining Players, for reasons I honestly can't understand. While I can't allow you all to casually chat with them as if you were never brutally erased in the first place... I'll give you this. On Mondays from here on out, each of you will have an opportunity to send a "meme"—a single phrase, two words max—to any one Player who's still in the Game. They won't necessarily know who it's from, but they will have that word imprinted in their mind for that week... maybe even the rest of the Game, if your idea motivates them enough.

All you have to do is tell me what the meme is, who it's going to, and I'll use the powers vested in me by our dear Composer to send it to the UG. The only stipulation is that you aren't allowed to share classified information; everything has to go through me first, so don't think you can get away with trying to break the Game.

WEEK 4 MISSION + MEMES

[iiit's that time of the week again. dahlia's done some shopping, it seems! even when you're dead, you gotta change up your fashion game every now and again. this week, she looks... more disinterested than usual. huh.]

Heads up, everyone. This week's mission is special—only three of you are going to be able to do this one. You'll be going to Molco... and an informant will tell you what to do over there, because you couldn't pay me enough to tell you about the unfortunate thing planned for you this week. As usual, if you successfully complete it, the remaining Players will get a boon. Otherwise, they're on their own until the trial, and that's assuming any of them trusts anything we might tell them anymore.

[ sitting at one of the trademark mcdonald's not-quite-swivel chairs (you know the ones i'm talking about), dahlia snacks on a parfait as she and the other erased witness the day's events, invisible to the "living" players. ]

I can't believe they're not just focusing on a single Erasure this week. Looks like they are capable of learning after all!

[ actually deviating from his sugar and caffeine diet to like. have a burger? wow. ]

Eh, what's what saying? Can't teach an old horse new tricks. I don't think they'll actually learn anything.

[ jacopo leaves his room. he navigates the hotel, entering the lobby, stage center.

he looks, bluntly speaking, exhausted — the byproduct of being murdered, probably. however, he proceeds to pat himself down, glance around the vicinity, and... laugh. ]

Well, how unfortunate.

[ well, at the leg of a table, black wings flitting out of his back. ]

Let me make this clear:

I'm getting out of here. We all are, and martyr complexes be damned, Reaper or otherwise, you. will. be. assisting. me.

The Players are the heart of the game. The only way we come back is through impressing my beloved employer, the Composer — the real one! And they have quite the flair for drama and style. From here on, you either cooperate or you sit in the corner and dwell in your pitiful loss. Go to hell for all I care, I won't be joining you just yet.

[Being Erased really doesn't make you any less tired, does it? The painful, and welcome, and arousing, and terror of death and the oblivion that followed are gone quickly enough, replaced with that neutral disappointment. And, under it all, she feels failure.

And Caren, to her credit, looks surprised to be in a place like this, if that's where all the souls end up dumped.]

One of these sorts of establishments, hm? I suppose you really can find anything you need in Shibuya.

[She lets herself sit, finally, somewhere near the entertainment center, drumming her fingers on the arm rest of one of the cushy chairs while considering the Blu-Ray selection, eyes half-closed. She's had a big week: It'll take a bit to get her appetite back.

Ah, but there are people she should find first, aren't there...? It's been a while since she stayed in one place and waited for people to come to her. It's almost like being alive, truly alive again.

So she'll just be looking at a mix of dubious and high-art videos, for now, half asleep but unwilling to let herself relax.]

Now that we've all been lovingly reunited in death beyond death after last week's bloodbath... I'm contractually obligated to tell the new arrivals about "memes."

Lastly, a certain Mr. Navarus has decided to send letters to two of you. I don't know why he bothered, since we can already see everything the remaining Players do... though I suppose they don't know that for sure.

[ gesturing behind her, a screen that once displayed ads for softcore videos available in the entertainment center changes to display the entirety of two messages along with who they were intended for, because there's no privacy among the erased: one for jacopo, the other for eleanor. once it's up, she stretches in her chair. ]

[ meeting time! as usual, dahlia is sitting by the bar, legs crossed and sipping a bloody mary. once everyone is gathered, she starts reading off a notecard, vocally embellishing like a professional actress even though she looks like she's wishing she could be doing anything but. ]

Now that there are a considerable amount of you here, the missions are going to start reflecting that. Your teamwork and cooperation are going to be essential, maybe even more so than they were while you were still active Players in the Game. For this week, your task is to head to the public gym, and... [ pause ] pick up the trash that suddenly appeared overnight?

[ ...she squints at the card. ]

Wow, they really are running out of ideas. [ she stares pointedly at it for a second more, then shrugs and tosses it over her shoulder. ] This isn't so much a mission as it is a chore, but... go off, I guess.

Another week, another mission, another selection of "rewards." As thanks for being on clean-up duty...

[ stifling a yawn, she pulls out a small case containing three pins as usual. ]

Your choices for this week's surprise are Lolita Bat, Handsfree Healing, and Chaos. As a group, you can only pick one, which represents an item that the Players will receive later this week. I'll let you talk it out to decide on the prize. After you've put in your vote, please direct your attention to the screens, especially Ms. Holier Than Thou [ caren ] and Little Miss Bible Thief [ eleanor ]... a couple of the remaining Players have some words for you.

[ like the beginning of the week, the lcd screens that were just advertising the different themed rooms available to book in their chitzy hotel change to show the text of two letters: one from undine to caren, and one from assassin to eleanor. the senders' names are displayed above their respective letters. she's about to dismiss them, when... ]

—Oh, and Mr. Lover Boy [ jacopo ] and Ms. Hume. Do you mind sharing what you found during your community service? Mr. Surprisingly Innocent [ terra ] might have something relevant to your interests... all of your interests, actually.
