Well, that sucked! That might be your first thought when you open your eyes to find yourself in a lavishly decorated room with a nice, soft bed. Or maybe you’re thinking about something else, it doesn’t really matter, since the only important thing right now is that you’re alive. Sort of. You’re still dead, but you also still exist, so that’s better than nothing. Whenever you decide to leave the room to venture out into the rest of the building, you’ll find that… hm. You sure have found yourself somewhere interesting, and there are plenty of places to explore. Foods from all of the weeks prior can be found in the hotel’s kitchen, as well as an entertainment center in the next room; just because you’re dead-dead doesn’t mean you can’t still have fun while the Reaper’s Game continues. Dare you try your luck with the ice cream machine in this weird place…? Or do you explore the mysterious board game that rests on the lobby’s table? Nothing’s stopping you. You’re absolutely able to leave the hotel, by the way. As soon as you step outside, you’ll find yourself in whatever area is currently open to the remaining Players for the current week. The only thing is, in addition to being invisible to the shadowy denizens of the RG... it seems you can’t interact at all with your fellow active Players in the UG, either. Weird! But that’s okay, you’re not totally alone in this limbo-squared! There are others around who you can interact with, and you might recognize them as the other people who have been Erased during the course of the game. In fact, there’s one rather special resident of this place... it’s none other than Dahlia Hawthorne. You might remember her as Utena Tenjou’s murderer from the first week! Upon seeing you, she smirks, welcoming you to the party. “Did you really think you'd seen the last of me? Welcome to the Under-Underground—the loser’s playground, a failure like the rest of us,” she taunts, swirling the teacup in her hand with an almost gleeful look in her eyes. Then, as if to preempt whatever the new arrivals wish to respond with, she rolls her eyes and adds, “The stupid name wasn’t my choice, by the way. [ She seems a bit confused at first? It takes a moment for to read the words addressed to her, she's mouthing the words as she reads them and then—

She goes red, face, ears, everything.

Calling this game flawed is a bit of an understatement wouldn't you say.

Not quite.. but in a way? Those answers mean two different things and somehow they also mean nothing at all.

[ monika notices something pretty quickly about this message, and, hah. okay, she's too much of a romantic to not tell her. tapping eleanor's shoulder - ]

There's something interesting about his poem. If you look closer, you can see his truth, you know?

[ She's squinting a little, and then— ]

[ She's a little tired of crying this week. She tilts her head, hoping that will stop the tears from pouring over. ]

A fool, it's already too late.

[ She dabs the corner of her eyes with the sleeve of his jacket. ]

'Wait' he says, like I've been doing anything but. Like I can do anything but. He's an absolute imbecile.

Yell at him about it when you can, then.

[ a beat. ]

Enjoy what feelings you have now... Who knows what will become of them later.

[ She opens her mouth to respond, but stops short, the weight of Monika's words snuffing her voice out like a light.

She may never see him again in this place, they might be reunited only to find what once was is no more.

So for once, she doesn't argue.

Just nods and smiles obediently, one hand resting on the crook of her neck, as she lets herself be fond of what was and what she still has. ]

I will.. I'll do both of those things.

[ She's crying, just a little. But she manages a smile and roll of her eyes anyway ]

What a bizarre reality we live in— where someone like you is right so often.

[chuuya huffs, rolling his eyes right back and folding his arms.]

Just because I'm a criminal doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about.

[has he mentioned that before?? if not, well, there she goes.]

[ He hasn't but she definitely guessed as much. She laughs though, genuine mirth in her voice even despite the fact that she'd just rolled her eyes at him. ]

You know, it's funny. I told him once that if I'd met you or him in any other place, in any other context— I would have arrested you both on sight.

[that laugh gets a little grin from him in return-- it's a bit infectious, okay.]

And here you are, stuck with us instead. Do you regret it, Eleanor?

.. On occasion, yes.

[ If the minivan of horrors was any indication. ]

But mostly? I have not a single regret. Which I suppose, is a bit of character development on my part. I spent my time alive with nothing but regrets. So I have you all to thank for this development.
