Well, that sucked! That might be your first thought when you open your eyes to find yourself in a lavishly decorated room with a nice, soft bed. Or maybe you’re thinking about something else, it doesn’t really matter, since the only important thing right now is that you’re alive. Sort of. You’re still dead, but you also still exist, so that’s better than nothing. Whenever you decide to leave the room to venture out into the rest of the building, you’ll find that… hm. You sure have found yourself somewhere interesting, and there are plenty of places to explore. Foods from all of the weeks prior can be found in the hotel’s kitchen, as well as an entertainment center in the next room; just because you’re dead-dead doesn’t mean you can’t still have fun while the Reaper’s Game continues. Dare you try your luck with the ice cream machine in this weird place…? Or do you explore the mysterious board game that rests on the lobby’s table? Nothing’s stopping you. You’re absolutely able to leave the hotel, by the way. As soon as you step outside, you’ll find yourself in whatever area is currently open to the remaining Players for the current week. The only thing is, in addition to being invisible to the shadowy denizens of the RG... it seems you can’t interact at all with your fellow active Players in the UG, either. Weird! But that’s okay, you’re not totally alone in this limbo-squared! There are others around who you can interact with, and you might recognize them as the other people who have been Erased during the course of the game. In fact, there’s one rather special resident of this place... it’s none other than Dahlia Hawthorne. You might remember her as Utena Tenjou’s murderer from the first week! Upon seeing you, she smirks, welcoming you to the party. “Did you really think you'd seen the last of me? Welcome to the Under-Underground—the loser’s playground, a failure like the rest of us,” she taunts, swirling the teacup in her hand with an almost gleeful look in her eyes. Then, as if to preempt whatever the new arrivals wish to respond with, she rolls her eyes and adds, “The stupid name wasn’t my choice, by the way. As if I’d choose something that dumb to preside over.” ![]() private conversations ☠ murder proposals ☠ money full nav |

Truthfully, she is.
But despite that— ]
Move—
[ She nudges at his feet, which are propped up on the coffee table, so that she can sit down beside him. And when she's comfortable, she meets his gaze. ]
You didn't need to do that, you didn't need me as an ally.. but, you trusted me then? The both of you?

[he does move his feet for her, shifting to make room, one arm draped over the back of his seat.]
We couldn't tell you we were doing it, but we wanted to try to keep your trust, if we could.
no subject
You were right not to tell me. Granted, none of it really matters now.
[ a beat ]
I don't know whether to thank you or be angry at you.

[chuuya shrugs a shoulder, there. he knows what they did. he knew one of the pair could very well be innocent, and he chose to target both anyway for the sake of reducing their numbers.]

[ She sinks deeper into the cushions of the sofa, head resting unintentionally on the arm he's draped across it. ]
It's only been a few weeks, but it felt like an eternity. I couldn't do anything but watch, I had to fight to even be able to send two words across this plane to the one you all resided in. Good, bad, right, wrong— I should care about these things more. But truthfully—
[ she turns to look at him, smiling just a little. ]
I'm just grateful that you all can hear me again.

[when she rests her head on his arm, he lets it shift to rest properly around her shoulders without really thinking about it. it just seems like an appropriate thing to do, in the moment.]
I don't think either of us missed you as much as Assassin did, but-- much as it sucks to be stuck here, at least we're in good company, yeah? Wasn't the same without you.

[ She tries her best to sound amused, but the discomfort is obvious. She's not at all skilled in masking how she feels. ]
How.. is he? I don't know.. I, I've avoided him in this place. As cowardly as it is— when you can see everyone and they can't see you, it's hard to feel like it won't be long before everyone forgets. They call it erasure for a reason.. if I was forgotten, I wouldn't want to know.

[but it's surprising to hear that eleanor's avoided him. one brow's raised at that, his head slightly tilted.]
I figured you'd be with him, even over here.

[ She's not really mad about the assumption, but she's definitely a little challenging in how she asks him. Whatever had happened between her and Shinssin had happened quickly, she doesn't think the others no much if anything (or at least, they hopefully didn't...) ]
no subject
[his tone isn't accusatory, exactly-- he keeps it level-- but he's still going to throw that out there.]
I think if he ever shows up here, he might like to know you'd watched.

Something in her heart sinks. ]
You're rather gifted with your words at the most unexpected times.
[ She feels guilt but, she feels something else too. ]
I suppose that's what I did, isn't it? I abandoned him, all of you as well. I know all of you could have won without me— or in his case, could still win without me, but I owed you all more than this and.. I'm sorry for that.
no subject
[he gives her shoulder a reassuring little squeeze. being apologized to isn't the most comfortable thing, but it's a bit easier when it's someone like eleanor doing it.]
no subject
I'll try.. and thank you.
[ She knows what it's like to be hopelessly alone in this place, and for that reason even though she's glad to have them all with her, she can't help but worry for Shinssin. ]
We have to help him win Chuuya. I don't care about any of it— being revived, working together to put on a show.. I just want Shinssin to win. I want him to reclaim what he's lost.. and I want him to live.
