![]() If the Reapers are expecting to be teleported into a shady corner by a ten year old again, they may be in for surprise. Instead, they'll wake suddenly, with their IC rulebook in their hand and open to a page in the back -- which contains a note that's only visible to them. "Reapers! Today's meeting will be at the IKEA restaurant at 7 AM sharp! There's coffee and snacks for everyone, so don't be late!" When they arrive at the IKEA restaurant, at 07:00, they'll find themselves walking into a private area of IKEA, with a door that closes and locks behind them once everyone is inside. The foreboding feeling usually present is missing entirely. And, true to form, there's comfortable seating, all manner of IKEA food, and beverages laid out for anyone and everyone to indulge in. Rather than the usual restaurant, the room is occupied by comfortable furniture from the showrooms. Once again, there's music looping forever. Try not to go insane. Already seated (and eating), is Maya Fey, very much alive, who enthusiastically waves them over as she shoves another forkful of meatballs into her mouth. "Hey guys! Take a seat and some chow and let's kick this thing off already!" ![]() game info ☠ setting ☠ statuses ☠ ic profiles private conversations ☠ murder proposals ☠ money full nav |

No. But we were linked by fate, you could say. A fate determined by an asshole of a god.
[a soft snort]
I was never able to forgive him. Punched him in the face the first time I saw him afterwards, actually.
But I felt awfully sorry for him.

[he'll probably get a kick out of that]
.... Punching Dahlia does seem a little tempting, not gonna lie. But mostly, I think I pity her. I can't get why anyone would want to go through life like that -- let alone death.

I thought the same about Akechi. Going through life full of bitterness and anger. . .
That just sounds lonely.
[. . .]
Had things been different, I may have wanted to save him.

[she feels the same way about dahlia. as future master of kurain, in a way, maya feels responsible for how her family members have suffered because of being part of the fey clan --- but dahlia made her choices. if things had been different, maybe they could have understood each other]
I think... he'd want to have to save himself for that to happen. Which, I'm guessing from context, wouldn't happen.

[mmmmmixed feelings. he never wanted Akechi to die, but. . . what else can he say about the guy? the guy who stole his life away, and nearly brought the Phantom Thieves-- the core of his world-- to their knees?]
I wonder if he'll ever be chosen for a Game like this one?

[likewise, mixed feelings. this is the woman who poisoned godot --- and hurt mia so badly, and nearly killed her, and hurt pearl, and was the direct cause of her mother's death. but maya's own death has given her a new perspective, so she's somewhere in between]
Maybe. I dunno what the criteria is.... Good thing he's not in this one, huh? [that would be awkward af]

[a snort]
Yeah, good thing, because that would've been intensely awkward.

No kidding. Just take a look at me and Dahlia.

Anyway. [bonding about their rivals with revenge issues aside] Welcome to the team, Maya.
It's really good to see you alive and well.
[for a definition of "alive"]

It's nice to be able to see you guys again, even if.... well, it's all about the Reaper stuff. But, still, if I can help out, I will! Even if it's just providing a relaxed atmosphere like this.

Thanks.
Next time, hold our meeting in a coffee shop. I'll make something special for everyone here.

I'll do my best! I think I can manage a coffee machine, at the very least.

What about curry?

[ha]
But I promise I'll be nice.
