| Applications will open at 12 AM EST on February 21st, and will close at 11:59 PM EST on February 28th. If everyone gets their applications in before the 28th, they may be closed early. All apps will be screened, so please keep them private! Don't even share it with your partner. Don't forget to read the game info and rules before applying. Also, please write Character Name | Canon in the subject header to make things easier to find.  Name: What should we call you? Contact: Please link to a plurk, as all plotting/discussion will happen over there! Reserve: A link to your reserve (or your partner's reserve for you). I have read the rules and understand the activity requirements: This game type requires a higher level of activity and dedication compared to long term ones. A reasonable amount of presence is required in mingles and trials, including weekly voting. By saying yes here, you assure us that you understand and agree to these requirements. Remember, if your activity levels are too low, we reserve the right to kill off your character! Character name: Your character's name. Canon: Your canon! Age: If you don't know the exact number, an approximation is fine. Partner: Name/Canon for the character who will be your character's partner in the game. Canon Description: A link to the wiki for your canon is fine, or a few sentences describing it. Up to you. Personality/Background: A few (2/3) paragraphs to overview your character's personality and history. We're looking more for key points and general gist for our own personal benefits rather than a full description. You can reuse a personality section from another app if you have it, too. Please write how your character died here! One sentence is fine. Alignment: Like the D&D one, yes. This is to describe your character's moral alignment and where they fall on the "willingness to murder" scale, as well as to get a gist of what their personal moral code is like. It doesn't have to be exact. This is a good website for guidance. Entry Fee: Your character had to pay a fee to enter the Reaper's Game and get a second chance at life. You can't get something from nothing, you know! This price will be paid before the game starts and affect your character for the duration of their stay in the Game. They don't get a choice as to what that something is, but you do! This entry fee should be something your character cannot imagine life without. It should be something personal and keyed to your character to encourage growth. To that end, we're not accepting answers that are simply "this character", seeing as we don't want to go full "we are holding x hostage, muahaha". Powers/items are in a different section, so those are also discouraged. Here's a few examples to help you think of things: Roxas from Kingdom Hearts could have his fee be his "sense of identity" and appear to others as Sora instead. Ariel from the Little Mermaid could lose her voice! Again! If a character has wings, they could lose their ability to fly/their wings. Your character could lose their memory as a loss of self too, or they could lose their dream/passion! If you need more help with this, feel free to ask any of the mods for help! For example, if you're really certain a character would be best and that character is in the game (preferably your partner in that scenario), we could arrange it with the other player so their characters doesn't recognize yours. They would have all memory of their relationship with your character, but not realize the person so important to them is your character specifically. We'll do our best to make your wildest angst dreams come true. The general gist we're looking for is something that's more to encourage growth/make the character question why whatever it is they've lost was so important to them. Psych/Item: Your character's special powers/abilities will be lost when entering the game, but they will instead gain a new power! You can choose any one from this list. You also get one item to use as a focus for that psych. If the item is magical in your canon, it will lose those powers in the game. Role: Would you be interested in having a role in the game as either mafia (designated killer) or detective?
