okay FOR REAL THOUGH god this cr.... destroyed me....
Like they started out almost at square one bc hermann was pissed newt got them killed, and then they realized they were gonna have to work together but like, they each had a diff agenda going in? Which was such a fun dynamic to play with. And just that whole gradual mutual respect thing, and then the trial turning point where they were like "shit we uh, we used to actually like each other didn't we" and THE SLOW BURN SHIP....
god I'm trying to keep this tl;dr but
it was Good. And I'm really glad we got them to a place where they're like, ready to change shit and move forward and like, be friends/more-than-friends FEELS GOOD MAN... I was worried for a bit there at the end. But WE DID IT!!!
MAN lenka surprised hermann, I think. He initially pegged him as like, just some regular clueless dude/cat, but he turned out to be really dedicated, pretty smart, and overall just a good guy? He super appreciated all his hard work and though he kinda side-eyed him at outing Mary, he couldn't entirely blame him, either. Lenka did what he thought was right, and Hermann respects that.
