week 5, thursday
[ Between one blink and the next, Chuuya will suddenly find himself in a greenhouse. If he tries looking outside its glass windows, he'll notice that there is a strange haze that makes it impossible to tell the exact location, but the interior of the greenhouse is fairly bright, as if sunlight was shining through.
Everything in it seems fairly normal. There is a variety of plants, but primarily roses, as well as a small outside garden table. Still, strangely enough, there's also a... kotatsu? Well. Okay. ]

...Himemiya, right? Mind if I have a seat?

[he never had a problem with her, so given that and that she's the one he's been sent to-- she'll get a bit more politeness from him. chuuya takes a seat at the kotatsu, pausing for just a moment.]
Are you really the one running this, or some kind of representative?

[ she sets her spoon down. ]
Although, I admit, it feels like for this particular Game that title feels like it has strings attached.

[ she won't say that it isn't. ]
I'm afraid you were all pulled into something that went beyond simple judgment for a second chance. It made this whole Game more... complicated.

--I get that you probably can't just come out and tell me what the point is, but there is one, right? Is trying to get another chance out of all this even still part of it?

[there's a sigh there, a shake of his head.]
I'm not the kind of person my boss and my old partner were, though. They'd probably see through it, but honestly, all I've known how to do is play the game that got laid out for us. I don't know what the other reason would be.
[he hates dazai, but if that man were here he'd know what was going on, and the boss was ever the embodiment of pure logic. he's just not sure if that was a good thing, anymore.]
But-- I came here because I had a request for you too, actually. About this Game.

[he takes a moment, there, to gather his thoughts.]
Don't get me wrong-- I do want to live, more than anything. I want to get what I lost back. But I don't want it just because of whatever the others manage to do, you know? I want it on my own merits.
So if they pull it off, I want you to judge me anyway, and I'll accept whatever you decide. If you wouldn't have decided to let me live, then I'll work for you instead, and if you won't have me then I'll face my death.
Do you accept, Himemiya-san?
[congrats she gets the only pointed honorific use he's had in this game.]

[ her expression has been primarily her usual smile since he’s gotten here. after he speaks though, her smile... softens a bit, like she truly hadn’t been before. ]
I accept. I will judge you based on you alone.

[he inclines his head slightly, not quite a bow but something close.]
I won't lie, I still want to see this all end, but-- I won't try to interfere with what they're doing then. Not like there's a lot of ways to manage that, anyway...
Is there anything we can actually do, from where we're at?
no subject
[ she looks over at the glass windows of the greenhouse. ]
I'll speak to Max.

[efforts were made... but at least now he's less inclined to give bad answers on purpose.]
Appreciated, though. We'll see how it goes.
That's all I really wanted, I didn't come here to interrogate you-- but if you want anything passed along, I don't mind playing messenger boy. You're a potential employer now, after all, so I just might take an order or two.

[he stands up, gives her another nod... and pauses, any hope of a smooth exit interrupted as he remembers he'd just sort of. shown up here.]
Uh, do you just send me back, or...?

[ that would. be for the best. ]
