#TRANSACTIONS

Just like in most cities, the Underground works on a money system so that characters can purchase goods for themselves. Here in Reapsody, the currency is called ripcoins, also known as rips. Every week characters will be given a small allowance to live off of, but they can also gain more rips by participating in the game. The more rips they earn, the more comfortable they can be during their stay here. No matter where they are, when characters wake up on Monday, they will find 20 rips somewhere on their person. Throughout the rest of the week, there will be other ways for them to get money based on participation. Completing tasks such as solving puzzles, fighting noise, and even erasing other players will grant them ripcoins. If your character purchases anything in the game, you must use this post. Every week, a comment will be unscreened and linked in the mingle post that reveals what can be bought in the current locations. The prices will fluctuate depending on the store, so just because your character was able to buy an entire outfit for only 5 rips one week doesn't mean they'll be able to do the same the following. It is possible to steal. However, as in most societies, stealing is definitely illegal. While smaller items will be easier to take, the more expensive and bigger they are, the higher risk there will be in your character getting caught. If your character is caught they will be punished that week. The punishment can range from them losing their supply of ripcoins to something more severe, depending on what they attempt to take. If your character wants to attempt to steal something, you must still comment to this post to let us know. Regarding food, you only need to buy it once and you're good for the whole week. Just be aware that will be the only food you will have purchased will be all you have to eat unless you share with each other. Get ready for seven days of McDonald's!
