[ After the execution, in which exactly two people died and nothing else weird happened, Kaiba will suddenly find himself in an alleyway behind the McDonald's!
Please don't question whether the McDonald's even had an alley behind it. Anyway, waiting for him like this is some kind of shitty drug deal is Max, holding a small case with eight pins in it.
... Just go with it? ]

[That said, he starts to gesture at each pin as he names them! The first has a simple design on it with two beams crossing each other to form an X.]
You've got Muramasa. Then there's Olly Olly Oxen Free Barrier. [this one has a cartoon design of a cute little Ox! Aww.] Moving on to Demon's Look. [This pin has a dark background broken by three yellow scratch marks, exposing something red underneath.] Over here is Delightful Beam. [the pin is a pale yellow with cute, pink hearts forming a beam] This one's Lolita Gifts [that pin depicts a gift box with definite gothic tones in the wrapping] and that one's One Chance, One Hope. [it's... a bunch of multicolored swirls with a bright question mark in the middle. okay.] Here's Kleptomania Rulez [six multicolored stars with dark jail bars in front of them] and finally we've got King's Treat. [It has a frozen crown on it!]
Okay, now you can argue. Or pick one. I'd really rather you pick one.

drugspins in a dark alley, not any other thing that may or may not have happened during the execution today. Possibly due to the things that did not happen, Kaiba is not quite up to his usual irritable self ]Do people usually argue at you when you confront them in a dark alley and start throwing skill names out at them?
[ Still not the most unexpected thing to happen today ]
...I have a question. I'll assume Players have been doing this every week. Have any of these been picked before?
no subject
[or just ask a lot of questions but. y'know.]
Exactly two of these have been picked so far. I can't tell you which two, obviously.

[ he folds his arms, thinking ]
After a pin is chosen, I will get to choose when it's used, and on who? Or are do some have more broad usages?
no subject
[shrugs]
You have the one week to use it. Some of these are more constricting than others when it comes to when you can use, though.

[hey, wait. 7 - 1 isn't five.]

[ He doesn't sound surprised. He DOES take another couple beats to think...before just going back to the very first thing he'd considered. He flings out an arm in a dramatic gesture, as is only appropriate for all alleyway decisions ]
Fine, I'm ready to make my choice. Of the listed pins you've presented me with, several are tempting, but only one can be my final selection. And what I've chosen by my right as Player in this Reapers' Game is...King's Treat!

...
Yeah, uh. Congrats. You fixed the McFlurry machine.
no subject
...What.

King's Treat. It fixes the McFlurry machine.
[...yeah]

[he honestly did not think anyone would pick it and feels one percent bad]

awkwardly pats his shoulder]
KFC?

...Bojangles.

...You've been doing this for some time, haven't you? Do no weird things happen often?
no subject
But luckily nothing weird happened.
[whos gonna pay our therapy bills]

"Lucky," sure. When strange things don't happen in the games I've run, it's usually just irritating friendship speeches and people's souls being trapped in playing cards. You might want to consider a change of careers.

When people here go on about impressing the Composer enough to save "everyone," does that include you?
no subject
Ultimately, the Composer is the one with the power revive people.
[... but that's not a no.]
