#SETTING

Welcome to Shibuya, Players! (Or at least what seems like a suspiciously similar approximation of it.) A neighborhood special ward located in the western portion of Tokyo, Japan, everything that surrounds your view is buildings climbing up to the skyline and busy streets. There's a definitive tinge of smog to the air, but the sky is clear day and night. The hustle and bustle of the city is only slightly overshadowed by the faint sound of music playing in the background, like the sound of speakers in a grocery store echoing everywhere. The playlist might change, yet the music never stops. There's no need to get overwhelmed by it all, though. Because they're in a plane of existence known as the UG, Players have limited access to buildings, only being able to enter those with a specific decal on them. Anything else is unavailable. Paths to other areas are also LOCKED by what seems to be invisible walls. Perhaps they can be unlocked later...? Overall, there's definitely the feeling of something odd in this city, but it might just be because you're a dead soul walking these streets. Speaking of, let's look at them more closely, shall we?

CADOI CITY

One of Japan's department store chains. While the focus is on fashion, they also sell furniture and jewelry. Cadoi City is home to a mattress store known as Taking Mattress Into Your Own Hands. While buying a whole mattress might be out of the question, the store is left open at night. Hey! Looks like Players finally have access to real beds! Congrats. Further in the mall you can also find The Land Before Tri, a public gymnasium, complete with cheap climbing wall, pool, and a suspicious amount of weights to lift. You can use it to work off all that McDonald's you've been eating! If you're in need of gym clothes, the Hip Snake brand clothing store across from it is absolutely not for you! With its vintage, "hip" style of clothes, these clothes would be better off back in their own decade. In the middle of all of this are coin operated rides. These lovely, totally unassuming creatures are quite the attraction for children. Their rickety movements, disturbing music and sporadic screeching make for an exciting time. Take a right from these monstrosities to find The Inside Scoop: Mint To Be, an ice cream parlor boasting insane looking treats on top of the regular ones! And unlike McDonald's, the ice cream machine here is always working! At the far end of the mall, should you venture that deep, you might find an abandoned pawn shop. The DO NOT ENTER signs and barred entry should be enough to tell you that it's currently LOCKED. Still, the mostly faded Reaper decal might be the most interesting thing about it.
