#REAPER MEET UP

As with last week, the Reapers will wake suddenly, with their IC rulebook in their hand and open to a page in the back -- which contains a note that's only visible to them. "Reapers! Today's meeting will be at the Apple Store at 7 AM sharp! There's coffee and snacks for everyone, so don't be late!" When they arrive the Shibu Department Store, at 07:00, they'll find themselves walking into a private area of the Apple store, with a door that closes and locks behind them once everyone is inside. It's roomy and filled with comfortable furniture, and lovingly decorated with the word "CONGRATULATIONS!!!" There's an even wider assortment of foods than normal with with coffee and Apple products present --- Maya's currently trying to wrestle a tablet out of Tenko's mouth. Oops. As always, music is on loop forever. Maya finally rescues the tablet from the puppy and then waves madly. First order of business: I got messages from Ranpo and Terra! Ranpo says good job and sorry to Akira, and Terra says thanks, and that he believes in you guys.

[he also brought Akira the chickenpig to the meeting, so he can chill with Tenko. once Maya takes the letter, he'll lower the creature to the ground and let him waddle about, oinking at everything]

I don't really know how I feel about being congratulated over getting away with murder.

You know, Vanitas approached me after the trial. He said you told him about what happened with Chuuya. He implied that I was a coward, for making you do all the dirty work. For making you take someone else's life in my stead.

[he shakes his head. Akira doesn't really think Vanitas was wrong]

That won't happen again. Not this time. It's me Shin wants to kill, so it's me that he'll get.

Don't feel like you have to do it just because he was a jerk about it. But if that's your choice still, then alright. I'll back you up this time.

[And she holds out the card she just got from Maya, offering it to Akira.]

[he hesitates upon seeing the card, because his first instinct is to tell her to keep it. he would rather her life remain protected over his own. but knowing what he does now, about Shin, about Magnus and Taako, about who the heck else knows he's a Reaper. . .]

[he takes he card, and spins it around his fingers]

Are you sure, Undine? This is your prize; not mine.

Nobody knows I'm a reaper yet, except for other reapers. More to the point, most of the people here wouldn't believe I'm a reaper even if someone told them.

I'll be fine. You're the one who needs it more than me.
